The Bacalar Lagoon is popularly known as the Lagoon of Seven Colors because we can distinguish seven different shades of blue from the water as it is formed by seven different cenotes, whose waters overflowed and constituting a single pond, its shape is narrow and long, with 42 km long and only 2 km at its widest point.
